7 Day Cleansing Diet

You can approach a 7 day cleansing diet in a number of different ways. Firstly, you can choose to detox your body by just drinking for the period of 7 days filtered water and freshly squeezed fruit juices.

The other way to cleanse your body of all toxins is to omit all kinds of meats and processed foods from it and for the 7 days instead eat raw foods only. This is a very sensible approach to take to cleansing the body of toxins and such a 7 day cleansing diet can prove to be far more effective and also you are giving your body a chance to avoid those foods that are actually harmful to it.

If you are unsure what your 7 day cleansing diet should consist of and are wanting to try one then below we offer some ideas that you may find very useful.

Idea 1 - You should first off try removing all dairy, meat and fish products from your diet for a week. There are plenty of other foods which are just as tasty and nutritious that can be incorporated in their place such as tofu.

Idea 2 - When cleansing your body for the next 7 days only eat raw fruit and vegetables and ideally organic ones as these are less likely to be covered in chemicals which will prove harmful to your body. If you want to include fruit juices in your cleansing diet then make sure that you drink freshly squeezed rather than bottled ones.

Idea 3 - If you find the thought of eating raw foods only off putting you can also include some cooked brown rice not white rice into your diet. This contains high levels of fiber and so after eating it you will feel much fuller. You need to make sure that you use organic varieties of brown rice if you can when using a 7 day cleansing diet.

Idea 4 - Following cleansing your body for 7 days you need to make sure that you don't immediately return back to the dietary habits you had before. Instead over the coming week you need to gradually incorporate back into your diet those foods which you omitted and certainly in the first week you should only be eating meat and processed foods occasionally.

The thing you need to remember when it comes to a 7 day cleansing diet is you take things slowly and are gentle to yourself. Fasting certainly isn't the best way to cleanse your body of toxins and other waste elements that can cause problems for your health. Also if you are someone with a health problem or who needs to take medication then you need to check with your doctor first to see if it is okay for you to do any kind of cleansing diet.
